professor, violist Quatuor Ebène

Marie Chilemme, born into a family of musicians, began playing the viola at the age of three.

After a brilliant career in Toulouse and then in Paris, Marie was unanimously awarded a Master's degree at the CNSM of Paris with congratulations in Jean Sulem's class.

Also passionate about classical dance, which she has practiced since the age of four, she wrote a dissertation that brought together these two arts: "The expression of music through gesture".

She left for Berlin to perfect her skills with Tabea Zimmermann, and founded the Cavatine Quartet with which she won numerous international prizes (Banff in Canada, Hamburg...) and was subsequently invited all over the world.
