Ãtma Quartet was founded in 2016 by musicians graduate of Polish music academies.
It has been awarded the 1st prize and three special prizes at the 2nd Karol Szymanowski International String Quartet Competition in Katowice in 2017, Förderpreis and Bärenreiter Urtext prize at the 10th International Chamber Music Competition “Franz Schubert and the Modern Music” in Graz in 2018, and 3rd prize at the Karol Szymanowski International Music Competition in Katowice in 2018.
Despite its brief history, the Quartet has been successfully promoting chamber music. Ãtma Quartet has performed on numerous festivals in Switzerland, France, Netherlands, Germany, Spain and Poland e.g. Davos Festival (Switzerland), ProQuartet, Quatuors à Bordeaux (France); Zeist Music Days (Netherlands); Jeunesses Musicales Chamber Music Campus (Germany), Musethica (Spain), 41. Days of Karol Szymanowski in Zakopane, Chamber Music Festival in Urle, Fonomo Music & Film Festival in Bydgoszcz ( Poland ).
Ãtma Quartet has been awarded scholarships by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage “Młoda Polska” (2018), by the Mayor of Bydgoszcz (2018) and by the Mayor of Bielsko-Biała (2017). 
The Ãtma Quartet worked with numerous outstanding musicians such as Eberhard Feltz, Oliver Wille, Alain Meunier, the members of legendary Alban Berg Quartett, Heime Müller, Luc-Marie Aguera, Vogler Quartett, Cuarteto Quiroga, Emerson String Quartet, Shanghai String Quartet, Alexander Pavlovsky (Jerusalem Quartet), Johannes Meissl (Artis Quartet), Orfeo Mandozzi (Vienna Brahms Trio), Karol Marianowski, Jarosław Nadrzycki (Meccore String Quartet), Szymon Krzeszowiec ( Silesian Quartet), Piotr Reichert (Camerata Quartet), Avri Levitan, Marek Moś, Jakub Jakowicz. 
The Quartet will be recording a CD with Polish composers music including 3rd String Quartet by K. Penderecki, 3rd String Quartet by A. Panufnik and 2nd String Quartet by K. Szymanowski. They will perform in the Polish Radio PIK and Polish Radio Katowice. 
Since 2018 the Ãtma Quartet is the part of the project Le Dimore del Quartetto in Italy, and participates in the ProQuartet training program in France.
