Oliver Wille is the co-founder of the internationally acclaimed Kuss Quartett with whom he started a very active chamber music career. Among his teachers were Eberhard Feltz, Christoph Poppen, Mauricio Fuks, Walter Levin, members of Cleveland and Alban Berg Quartet, as well as György Kurtág and Ferenc Rados.
Teaching is an important part of his musician career: in 2010/2011, he was leading the Graduate Quartet Studies of Musikakademie Basel together with Walter Levin and held a chamber music teaching position in Karlsruhe, Germany. In October 2011, he got appointed as a chamber music professor at the University for Music, Drama & Media Hannover.
Among his students are international prize winners such as Castalian Quartet and the Quartet Berlin-Tokyo. Many special student chamber concert projects are part of his educational program, he is connected to international masterclasses such as ProQuartet Paris, summer camp Lower Saxony Germany, International Concert Working Weeks Goslar, Scuola di Musica de Fiesole or the Lake District Summer School.
Since October 2014 he serves as the International Chair in Violin and the leader of newly founded string quartet academy at Birmingham Conservatory, UK. Since 2012 he serves as the vice-president and artistic advisor of the Chamber Music Society Hannover. In 2016 he became the Artistic Director of the Festival Sommerliche Musiktage Hitzacker.
