Founded in 2013 at Strasbourg Académie Supérieure de Musique (music Academy attached to the Haute Ecole des Arts du Rhin), the Quatuor Adastra regularly performs in France : Théâtre Européen du Maillon (Strasbourg), la Filature (Mulhouse)…), Bourse de Strasbourg, Château de Fontainebleau, Abbaye de Cluny and Château de la Baronnie de Lafrançaise.

The Quatuor Adastra takes part in many festivals such as Strasbourg Rencontres d'été de musique de chambre (Ensemble Accroche Note), Cordes en ballade Festival (Quatuor Debussy), Musiques-en-Voûtes Festival (Quatuor Manfred), Musica Contemporary music festival in Strasbourg.

In 2015, the quartet wins the Flaine Festival and Académie Musique scholarship, joins the Quatuor Debussy  class and performs as an octet with them in Lyon.

The Quatuor Adastra collaborates with the composer Philippe Manoury ; in January 2016, the Quartet studies its quartet Stringendo during a ProQuartet masterclass in partnership with the Philharmonie de Paris. The Quartet will then performs the quartet during a concert with the Accroche Note ensemble).

The Quatuor Adastra associates with projects beyond the classical framework, such as jazz, theatre and contemporary art. The quartet receives advice from the Parisii, Manfred and Debussy Quartets, and has had the opportunity to study with members of the  Danel, Ysaÿe and Alban Berg Quartets.
