The members of the Aristos Quartet started playing together during the summer of 2012.

Since September 2015 the Quartet follows the two-year full-time post-academic course of the Dutch String Quartet Academy (NSKA) in Amsterdam. Weekly they receive lessons by Marc Danel, his colleagues from the Quatuor Danel and Stefan Metz. Regularly they get three days of masterclass from international guest teachers such as Eberhard Feltz and Luc Marie Aguera.

In June 2015 the Aristos Quartet graduated cum laude from the Conservatory of Amsterdam in the String Quartet Master, a collaboration with the Dutch String Quartet Academy. During these two years they received lessons by Dmitry Ferschtman, the members of the Quatuor Danel, Stefan Metz, Peter Cropper, Eberhard Feltz, Johannes Meissl and Luc Marie Aguera.

The Quartet participated in different courses and festivals in the Netherlands and abroad, such as the Internationales Sommerakademie in Nordhorn, Germany, the Zeister Muziekdagen, Delft Kamermuziekatelier, the Tiberius Week in Romania, the Orlando Festival, International Quartet Academy from Cuarteto Casals in Spain and the International Chamber Music Campus in Weikersheim, Germany.

Important teachers during these courses were Rainer Schmidt, Eberhard Feltz, Heime Müller, Sandor Devich, Pavel Fischer and the members of the Cuarteto Casals, the Cuarteto Quiroga and the Schumann Quartet. In December 2015, the Aristos Quartet wins the Kersjes Foundation scholarship for training and career, officially given at Amsterdam Concertgebouw.

The Aristos Quartet participates in the ProQuartet training program since 2015 and worked with Gilles Millet, Heime Muller and Natalia Prishepenko.
