First Grand Prize of Evian international string quartet competition in 1993, Victoire de la musique 1996, Quatuor Debussy enjoys a great professional recognition. For 25 years, the quartet has been performing in the most prestigious concert halls around the world.

Curiosity, surprise, renewal, discovery, sharing are some of Quatuor Debussy values and commitments. Building bridges between different artistic fields like dance, theatre and circus, the quartet shows a very open, lively and creative vision of classical music and chamber music. Quatuor Debussy also focuses on educational means, conducting workshops with children, elderly, inmates...

Quatuor Debussy also dedicates to young professional string quartets, as to pass knowledge they have themselves got from great chamber music professors. Since 2011, the quartet gives classes at Conservatoire de Lyon and through different master classes - including its Cordes en Ballade Festival Summer Academy (since 1999).

In 2017, Quatuor Debussy will be giving classes to ProQuartet amateur chamber music ensembles during the CIMCL (Lyon International Chamber Music Competition).
