The Ēllis Quartet members meet in Paris in 2015 as Scarlett Quartet. On that year, the quartet participates in Quatuor Manfred Academy at Abbaye de Cluny and integrates Emmanuel Haratyk class.

They perform in festivals such as the Festival Musicancy and the Festival Musique en Voûtes at Cluny Abbey. Since they started their professional training, the Scarlett Quartet benefits from advice of great chamber musicians such as the Manfred Quartet, the cellist Manuel Fischer-Dieskau and Stéphanie-Marie Degand (at Orangerie de Sceaux Festival). In March 2016, the Scarlett won the fist prize at the Centr’Ensemble competition in Paris.

In 2015, the quartet joins ProQuartet’s professional training center, participating to a contemporary creation project with young composers of the Paris Conservatoire (CNSMDP). In 2016, Quatuor Scarlett participates in ProQuartet professional program,  meeting Tim Vogler in August and Quatuor Parisii at Lyon Conservatoire (CNSMDL). Since November 2016, the quartet follows Mark Withers Festival d'Aix-en-Provence training around "musiciens-relais"( relay musicians).
