The Metamorphosis Quartet joined together at the Paris conservatoire in 2016 where the four members were studying. They were soon noticed and encouraged by François Salque who  invited them to perform in many festivals around France (Musical’Océan, Musique à La Prée, Estivales de Puisaye, Vox Musica, Jeunes Talents de Loudun, Festival de Musique en Albret, Radio Classique) and were also invited to play during the « Biennale des Quatuors à cordes 2018 » at the Philharmonie of Paris. Inspired by the Greek word metamorphose like many great composers and writers, the musicians are seeking to transform their four individual qualities to blend and harmonize their sound and mutual energies together and so reach a special identity as a quartet.

These four young musicians who come from different musical backgrounds, use all their talents to combine their different artistic ideas so as to share with the public their mutual love for the Quartet Repertoire. The Metamorphosis Quartet is studying for a Master’s degree at the famous Paris Conservatoire and are taught by members from the Rosamond’s Quartet (Jean Sulem) Strada Quartet (François Salque) as well as the famous Ebene Quartet and Modigliani Quartet. They have been participating in several ECMA’s academy since January 2018 (European ChamberMusic Academy) and received coaching from Hatto Bayerle, Johannes Meissl, Patrick Jüdt, Petr Prause, Per Lundberg. They are since October member of the ECMA program. They have also participate in master-class with Alfred Brendel in July during the Evian festival. In the year 2018, they won the « ProQuartet » prize in the European Chamber music competition (Fnapec) in Paris, are a new ECMA ensemble and they also have been selected for joining the network of « Le Dimore del Quartetto » in Italy.
