The Vollmond string quartet was founded in 2015 at the Montenegro Summer Camp for chamber music. Since then, they have been performing at many prominent concerts in Serbia and Montenegro, above all the opening of the “Take over” season in Kolarac Hall in Belgrade, concert in the Galery of solidarity Pima Palace in Kotor and in the Museum of the city of Perast, opening of the 7th “Strings festival” in Kotor, the Festival of the Mediterranean Theatre “Purgatorije” in Tivat, closing of the 8th “Strings festival” in Kotor, concerts in Podgorica, closing with the performance within the cycle “Women composers”, at the Festival Convivium Musicum in Kragujevac, Serbia and at the Festival “Barski Ljetopis” in Bar, Montenegro. They participated in the series of chamber music concerts in Novi Sad, Serbia, dedicated to contemporary music. They also performed in Zeist, Amsterdam and Zaltbommel during the “Zeist Music Days” festival in Netherlands.
Vollmond quartet had the opportunity to work with eminent professors: Boris Brezovac, Aleksandar Latković (Belgrade Philharmonic String Quartet), Arkadij Winokurow (Austria), Mikhail Bereznitsky (Russia), Jorg Winkler (Germany), Anton Martynov (France). In 2016, 2017 and 2018 quartet got the scholarship and participated in “Zeist Music Days - Chamber Music Festival and Masterclasses” and worked with: Cuarteto Quiroga (Spain), Cuarteto Casals (Spain), Emerson String Quartet (USA), Jerusalem quartet, Robert Kulek (USA), Valentin Erben (Alban Berg Quartet), Marcin Sieniawski (Szymanowsky quartet).
In July 2018 quartet performed at Ljubljana Festival, representing the Triple Bridge European Career Center for Artists, in collaboration with Branimir Slokar Academy.
All four of them are members of Muzikon chamber orchestra in Belgrade, new multimedial ensemble, which promotes innovative approach to classical music scene in Serbia.
Love for this particular form of chamber music and a high level of devotion have been prime motivators in their pursuit of improvement and conditions for continuous work, and that drive has made an immediate impact and established their place on the regional chamber music scene.
