Violinist member of the Vogler Quartett

Tim Vogler was born in Berlin. He studied at the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” Berlin and in Cincinnati. Eberhard Feltz, Sándor Végh, Walter Levin, György Kurtág, Menahem Pressler and Hedi Gigler are amongst his mentors. He was recipient of prizes at various national and international competitions.
Tim Vogler is first violinist in the Vogler String Quartet since its foundation in 1985. The quartet has given extensive concert tours in Europe, USA, Canada and Japan and recorded numerous Radio and CD productions.
Tim Vogler’s teaching experience includes a faculty position at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold and Stuttgart. In 2012 he was appointed International Visiting Artist at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, Dublin.
Since 2017 he is appointed as Professor for String Chamber Music at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt am Main.
Tim Vogler is Artistic leader at the Internationale Kammermusiktage Homburg, the Sligo International Music Festival and has given masterclasses for chamber music in Germany for Jeunesses Musicales in Schloss Weikersheim, Sommerakademie Niedersachsen, Villa Musica Rheinland-Pfalz, as well as in Toronto, Cincinnati, Calgary, Dallas, Riga. In 2013 he was invited to teach and perform at the McGill International String Quartet Academy in Montreal.
Tim Vogler has been teaching at ProQuartet during the 2015-2016 professional training season and in 2019.
