The Trio Werther is composed of three young musicians, passionate about chamber music. Although this ensemble is officially created in 2017, Maya, Maxime and Simão work together in several chamber music projects, following their meeting at the High School of Music in Geneva in 2013. This collaboration gave them Moreover, the "Prix Chaponnière" was awarded to them.
Maya Kadosh, a violin born in Israel, studied in Israel, Canada and Austria before earning a Master's degree in Geneva. In September 2018, Maya will join the Zurich Opera Orchestra as the second violin leader. The cellist, Simão Alcoforado Barreira, began his cello studies in Portugal before continuing in Geneva, where he regularly replaces the Orchester de la Suisse Romande and the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra. In September 2017 he joined the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra in Italy. Maxime Alberti, piano, obtains his master soloist at the Geneva High School of Music, then joins in 2017 the prestigious class of Rena Shereshevskaia at the Ecole Normale Alfred Cortot in Paris, where he prepares major international competitions and performs in concert across France and Switzerland.
Having each had a long experience of chamber music in various formations, members of the Werther Trio have benefited from the advice of renowned musicians such as Menahem Pressler, Itamar Golan, Gary Hoffman, among others. The three come together through a long friendship, a great love for the repertoire of the piano trio, and a deep enthusiasm to interpret it together and share it with the audience.
