To launch its new project, ProQuartet partners with the Musée de l'Orangerie to organize a landmark event taking place during the Nuit Blanche in Paris on Saturday, 3 October 2015. The extraordinary atmosphere of Monet "Water Lilies" sees 11 of the best European string quartets perfom, enhancing the most beautiful string quartet repertoire pieces in one night.

Tribute to Walter Levin

The team of ProQuartet is mourning for Walter Levin, violinist and founder of the LaSalle Quartet who passed away on August 4th. Walter Levin has been teaching at ProQuartet for 22 years, from 1989 to 2010, and was a regular presence in our masterclasses.
Dozens of string quartets as well as piano trios from Europe and the United States were given the privilege to learn from this outstanding musician. Walter Levin’s legacy will be kept alive by his illustrious pupils, like the members of the Alban Berg, Artemis, Hagen, Vogler, Kuss, Belcea, Danel or Diotima Quartet who continue to teach at ProQuartet.

The” Nuit du Quatuor” is dedicated to Walter Levin.
