Who is the certification for

Professional and amateur musicians


 

Prerequisites

  • A title for international contest's holders and a National or International Conservatory Prize. 
  • Or being able to certify that you have a minimum level for chamber music.  Any demonstration support will be appreciated. 
  • Already being in unit formation or subject to form an ensemble for solo musicians. 


 

Objectives of the certification

Knowing a work doesn't mean having already played it in concert. As a genuine dialogue, chamber music requires from each musicians of the ensemble a perfect theorical, historical and analytical knowledge, but also a perfect harmony, in music and between players.
The certification « Interprétation en musique de chambre » allows the chamber musicians to developp, by contact with the masters, their interpretation qualities. It leads to a better relation with the public and, building on this harmonisation work (made of listening, sharing, pleasure and discipline), falls within their profession in a sustainable way.


 
Aims skills

  • Preparation of the interprétation, in its emotional and corporal dimension, analysis of the work and its context.
  • Interpretation in situation with human and musical harmonisation approach, leading to stage performance.

Process to access certification

  • A title for international contest's holders and a National or International Conservatory Prize. 
  • Or being able to certify that you have a minimum level for chamber music.  Any demonstration support will be appreciated. 
  • Already being in unit formation or subject to form an ensemble for solo musicians.

 

Procedures for assessing

By continuous training or as free entrants, musicians have to pass a test allowing their acquired skill, namely a public concert and an individual interview

  • Interprétation of works in real situation, that is, in front of professionnals and an audience, with a individual evaluation interview. 
  • Duration : 1 hour.
  • Candidate must interprate on or many works in ensemble in front of a professional jury and an audience. 
    The the candidate will be interviewed about keys factors of success and risks of an interpretation that has been played to the public. 
    There is no partial validation nor evaluation. 



Awarding of the certification

Awarding of the certification will be executed in a different way from evaluations procedures, in an attempt to achieve total neutrality.
Three people will be appointed to represent the jury :  

  • A referent teaching manager 
  • Two persons outside training program, entreprise or considered as qualified in the musical industry. 

The jury will be responsible of the awarding of the certification.
A transcript of jury will be delivered to each jury of the awarding of the certification.
